Dahlias
We began growing dahlias in 2021 when we were gifted 5 tubers from a dear friend and flower farmer extraordinaire. It's been nonstop since. We now plant thousands of dahlias each year!
Northwood offers dahlia bouquet subscriptions, market bouquets, wholesale cut flowers, custom floral arrangements, and dahlia tubers.
Seeds
When seeds are harvested from any particular dahlia, they will produce a completely unique plant. This can then be cultivated into a brand new variety of dahlia breed!
Bouquets
We have bouquets available when the blooms are pumping- usually only late July through early October. As soon as the first frost hits Northwood, our lovely dahlias begin their winter rest. Check out our dahlia bouquet subscription if you're local to our farm.
Tubers
At the end of each season, after the first frost, the dahlia plants get cut down and the tubers are dug up. Each clump can produce several new tubers. Because of this, we plan to have a tuber sale each winter/spring to share any excess tubers. The tubers from any particular dahlia produce exact clones of the plant they were taken from.
